MagCon
MagCon (also spelled MAGCON, or Magcon, short for Make America Great Convention) was an event featuring young stars (predominantly male, for the most part) that lasted between 2013 and 2017. These group of boys were famous on the social media app Vine. First founded in September 2013, some entrepreneur that nobody gave a shit about met with an internet personality named Aaron Carpenter, who said that he was going to the mall and impress some of his Instagram followers, who are mostly female. Other social media personalities other than Carpenter included Matt Espinosa, Carter Reynolds, Hayes and Nash Grier, Shawn Mendes (who ended up being the only successful person to come out of MagCon, by the way), Taylor Caniff, Jack Johnson and Jack Gilinsky (better known as Jack & Jack), Jacob Whitesides, Cameron Dallas (arguably the most popular member of MagCon until he left, in which nobody cared afterwards) and Mahogany LOX. MAGCON family is a group of boys starting at the age 15 and goes all the way to 19. You may be wondering, why these boys are famous and what do they do? Well these boys are social media stars who are taking over all of social media. It all started with one app called, "Vine". Vine is an app where users can post a 6 second video of whatever they want. These boys got so-called "Vine Famous".The MAGCON boys were obviously really funny and attractive which got many girls attention.
You may think that these boys are selfish, self-centered, immature boys looking for attention and money. Well, they aren't. Many girls have tweeted, commented, or told them in person that they have saved their life. These teenage boys have convinced many teenage girls that they are worth it and life is worth fighting for. They helped save many teenage girl's lives. Of course, they also have a large teenage male fan base, full of the same positive feedback.
MAGCON is a tour that Nash Grier, Cameron Dallas, Matt Espinosa, Shawn Mendes, Taylor Caniff, Aaron Carpenter, Carter Reynolds, Jack Johnson, and Jack Gilinsky went on to travel to cities all over the country. From Dallas, to Nashville, to San Francisco, they
