I rate my experiences at au cul de poule 7/ Cozy place with nice service. Food is OK, portion generous, the 20 euros lunch menu with entrée, principal dish and dessert is good value for money. In detail: place 8/ small restaurant clean and cozy, good cutlery and table setting. tables a little bit too close to each other, lacks intimity. 15mins walk from the center. service 8/ good service, waiters attentive and pleasant Food: 6/ I have eaten twice at this restaurant, first time snail with reduction beef gravy, calf sweetbread with morel (riz de veau), dessert is black forest reinterpreted. the second time is lunch menu, entrée creamy shell macaroni with diced bacon, the dish is duck breast with mushroom. they offer a croque-monsieur with truffle for every guest which is quite nice. However the duck breast was too dry and all their dishes are too salty for my taste, and dessert too sweet i had to drink water all the time. conclusion the lunch menu is good value for money. if à la carte, I will try other restaurants. it seems they have a very large wine list but i could not drink on these two occasions so i would rather not comment. In total 50% food + 25% place + 25% service = 7/10

Persimmon in the Kitchen
Persimmon is similar to the apple since it is cooked and eaten in the same way. Raw or cooked, from starter to dessert. Whether in compote, jam, pie, juice, coulis, tartare, carpaccio, salad or as here in a cake, persimmon is a versatile fruit!
In all Simplicity for a Subtle Cake
This recipe is simple, without fuss. It is made in a single bowl so as not to make too much of a mess. Persimmon has a slightly sweet taste of apricot and vanilla. So, to bring out this subtle flavor, I did not add any spices. But, if you feel like it, you can add vanilla, cumin or ginger in short, you adapt it to your tastes, right!
Icing and Co
When it comes out of the oven, I brush the cake with a sweet lemon syrup that
